Pownal Town Forest SurveyHaving designated over 1000 acres of land as Town Forest, the Town of Pownal is working on developing a management plan that aspires to permanently make the property open and accessible for public outdoor recreation and enjoyment. The Town is working to gather community feedback and input on the future of the Forest to represent the needs of current and future generations. This is an official Town survey: data collected will be used by the Select Board to determine the future management of the Town Forest. The survey will be open from October 17, 2024 to November 19, 2024, and the data collected will be presented at the Select Board meeting on December 12, 2024.

Part Time Cleaning PositionThe Town of Pownal is seeking a part time employee to provide cleaning and disinfection of our Town Office space. This position will be paid at an hourly rate of $20 per hour for up to 10 hours per week. Applications can also be dropped off at the Town Offices at 511 Center Street, Pownal, VT 05621. Applications will be accepted until December 6, 2024.

Election) Wednesday November 6th (Public) Monday November 11th (Veteran’s Day) Closing early on Wednesday the 27th at Noon and will be closed for the long Thanksgiving Holiday.
